Hohenwerfen Castle, more than 900 years old, is enthroned on the steep rocky hill high above the Salzach Valley. During a visit to the medieval walls, you will not only learn interesting facts about life in earlier times, but you also get an insight into the centuries-old art of falconry.

October – 5 November*: Tue - Sun, 9.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

* Closed Mondays (except holidays)

The interior of the fortress can only be visited as part of a guided tour.
Dogs kept on a lead are welcome in outdoor areas (castle courtyard).
Visitors are not permitted to bring dogs on the tour.
