The Mozart Residence, an incomparable building from the Baroque period, now houses an impressive Mozart Museum and a unique sound and film museum. The Mozart family moved into the apartment on the first floor of the so-called "Tanzmeisterhaus" in autumn 1774 and the father Leopold Mozart lived there continuously until his death in 1787. (The Mozart house should actually be called "Leopold Mozart Wohnhaus"). WA Mozart lived here for the first four years, then another two years after his return from Paris. He spent the rest of his life in Vienna. In 1783 he and Constanze came to visit his father and sister Nannerl for three summer months.
